How Titania is Organized

Below you should see a diagram comparing the organizational structure of Titania with that of a typical hierarchy.

The Structure of Power

On the left we see a typical government, based on the Power Ethic that asserts that “Might makes right.” On the right is the structure of Titania, a HoloMat of Octologues. We’ll talk about Octologues and HoloMats in the next section; but for now, just note the symmetry of the arrangement. The HoloMat has no top-down authority structure, so it’s totally egalitarian – as any ethical organization should be. Each octagon in the diagram represents a group of eight people acting in concert as equals.

The Titanian Ethic requires that every individual respects the rights of every other – and treats them accordingly. So let’s take a closer look at the Octologue makeup.
